WILLIAM COLLISON

█

Cybersecurity Analytics & Operations student at Penn State University, Linux systems builder, and aspiring Systems Engineer / ISSO. I harden infrastructure, automate compliance checks, and document everything I break and fix along the way. Based in the Baltimore/Annapolis, MD area — open to remote and Maryland corridor roles.

Background

I'm a Division III baseball student-athlete and cybersecurity major balancing collegiate athletics with a hands-on technical path across three roles: IT support for a Maryland Eastern Shore MSP, campus IT services at Penn State, and a cybersecurity internship with Queen Anne's County Government where I built Bash-based CIS compliance auditing tools for Ubuntu and RHEL systems. Outside of work, I run a home lab with a NAS, Active Directory, pfSense routing, Tailscale mesh networking, and a dedicated security testing environment — because the fastest way to understand a control is to break it yourself first.
